Could you hear the wet, squishy sound of Kolar tongues being bitten during the last ten minutes of that podcast?

Part of why I like writing zombie stories so much–especially Romero and Walking Dead-style ones where everyone who dies becomes a zombie, not just people who are bitten–is because of the bioethics aspect. Is it ever OK to do a head shot preemptively? After all, if someone is dying, then they may turn into a flesh-eating monster at any second. If so, how preemptively? What happens when insurance companies start realizing how much safer preemptive kills are when people reach a certain age or have certain chronic health issues? If this plague brought humanity to its knees, what steps are acceptable in experimenting and researching to make sure it doesn’t happen again? Whose life gets precedence in a triage situation? What do you do with a high-risk pregnancy if every miscarriage becomes an in utero zombie fetus?

I may have had little Kolars in my head shouting about seamless garments during that segment.

And yeah, zombie stuff gets really problematic real fast.
